However, we expect everybody to be in a cookie cutter society and all look, learn, and feel the same way. Do you feel this is an accurate way to measure a student's intellectual abilities? This is no way to measure intelligence or the abilities of one. Taking a test can not determine the abilities of a person. We as people come in all different forms and have different ways of learning and processing information which is often pushed aside and ignored. Students are treated as if they all think the same and should all have the same outcome during a test. According to research, it is said 61% of all high school students suffer from some form of test anxiety. Test anxiety often hinders a student's ability to perform as well as they would like. Taking tests can better prepare students for life experiences as they mature. As an adult, you experience challenges and are constantly being tested. The stress and anxiety a student goes through during testing, is the same struggle they could possibly go through every day in their adult life. Although this may be true, it is something that can be learned and adapted to. Often times children learn and are influenced by their parents or the adult figure in their life. For example,there is a saying that educated parents raise educated children.
