For as long as I can remember, I ve wanted to be a nurse. Helping people and seeing a good outcome from it has always been a dream of mine, it started when I was younger I saw my mom and grandma helping different people and nurturing them. Seeing how these people would smile and thank my family for helping them inspired me to choose this career. I love how even the uniform color could put a smile on a patient's face, or even simple things such as just seeing their caregiver. There was once a time when my grandma took me to work with her and although I didn t get to do much, just seeing the workers doing their best and putting their all into the job made me happy and very appreciative of them.
No one can deny that nurses work extremely hard; they are the backbone of the healthcare system, they do the jobs that no one wants to do, and much more. Nurses have demanding jobs. They face numerous challenges on a daily basis, in addition to dealing with a stressful work environment caused by insufficient staffing, workplace violence, and mental health issues, to name a few. Nurses are vital to society, but their jobs are extremely stressful, and many people will not choose to work in this field. One of the primary reasons is the job's high level of responsibility.
Since I was toddler I’ve always been told that I had a distinctive nurturing nature. My mother told me that about around the age of two if I were to go somewhere and someone was the give me something she said I would always say, “May I have some for my sissy's(sisters).” Think this characteristic as well as an outgoing and positive personality lead me to want to explore careers such as pediatrics, nursing, and social work. When I first enrolled in college I thought a wanted to pursue a career in nursing, very reluctant to say, I did not do my research on the field and was ill prepared for it.
Being an unorganized person is no where near what I am. When it came to college it all fell through my hands and I began to lose control. I started overwhelmed because I was taking classes for a major I was not sure I would pursue. So being the person I am I dropped all the classes, feeling as though I were failing and not meeting my standards of success. After dropping the classes I took a break to figure out what I really wanted my future to be consumed by.
My Intent to Be a Nurse Practitioner Coming from a third world country where there aren’t many opportunities for work and funding for education, proceding to nursing school was a grand opportunity. The privilege to attend a government subsidized school where top students in the region compete to get into the program that allowed only 60 students per year was indeed a blessing. As clinical rotations began, what was once considered a mere opportunity evolved into a true passion for caring as I truly love and enjoy nursing and helping people.
There alot of differnt career choices you have to choose from, that you may like when you younger and as a child you see yourself proceeding and accomplishing that dream, but thats when your younger you dont know what you truly wanna be tell you get to the age where you understand how your life is placed out and what the right career choice is for you. Ask yourself these few simple questions, Are you going to be okay with attending this career for many of years? Do you enjoy what your doing? does anything at all get in the way of your family or friends relationships. Often times when your working non-stop all the time it can create problems with your family and friends, because you are not around them as much at all anymore but also they got to understand you are making money for your family to survive so then
We never know where life will take us, but it's always good to have a plan. It's good to think about the future you desire and have a clear idea of what you want. Knowing what course you want your life to take will help you face whatever obstacles may come your way. We probably all want to become a very important person, have a really good career and have a nice well paid job.
My life goal is to help as much as i can and be the best version of myself. Growing up I never felt cared about and had any attention given to me. From that point on I knew I never wanted anyone to feel like me at any point of their life. My passion for wanting to become a nurse became stronger. Knowing that you can make a positive change to someone's life by being who you are makes me feel great.
When I stood in front of Plymouth University as a new student, the achievement I felt was overwhelming. Starting university to me, meant proving my Dad wrong on what I could achieve. My Dad informed me from a young age that I was never going to amount to anything, this as well as being bullied and medical problems made my school education delayed. My potential was shattered before I could even comprehend such a thing. This resulted in me not attempting anything academic as I thought I would fail exceptionally well.
I have been interested in the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire ever since I heard about the excellent achievements in their nursing program. I kept seeing nurses with an Eau Claire degree and a plethora of knowledge and experience that comes with it. The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire caught my attention then but all of the different features of the college held my interest steadfast throughout my high school years. Every since I was a child, I knew that I wanted to spend my life taking care of people and helping them. As I started searching through lists of colleges I made sure I started at the best and when I looked into nursing program and my CNA teacher suggested this school for its nursing degree.
As a young child I have always wanted to help people because it was rewarding. Living in a small town in Uzbekistan, I would watch my mother help people and use her nursing skills to treat them. She used to work in a hospital and after her shift was over, she would give our neighbors injections or check their blood pressure. Seeing the satisfaction my mother felt by helping them made me feel joyous and one day I wanted to help people myself. My mother has inspired me and motivated me to pursue a career in medicine; specifically, nursing because I wanted to do something in my life's work that is stimulating, fulfilling and makes a difference in people's lives.
Further Education in Nursing We all go through numerous hardships in our lives which alter our way of thinking either positively or negatively. Seeing other people going through a hardship can also be an influential experience. Hardship often motivates some of us to realize that a simple act of help by anyone can make a difference in another person’s life. It was not until I went to my hometown in Bangladesh, where I met people who were struggling to stay healthy and they have motivated me to have a further education in nursing.
As an inspiring and dedicated young woman I want to be a nurse because I am entertain by the science aspect of it. I am always eager to learn and to make a difference in someone’s life. Growing up I was always interested in the healthcare. Having the opportunity to assist my mother when taking care of his patient as a nurse made me more passionate and wanted to help, and care for people. Throughout the years my passion for nursing grew a lot more during grandmother’s sickness.
I sadly replied, “ I don’t know.” He than suggested that I should consider nursing, and that gave me the spark I needed. I already was fascinated with science and that one day, in that one hospital room, that nurse gave me the help I needed. I than began looking into what exactly I wanted to do in the nursing field. I knew I wanted to be challenged in life.
The field also provides many environments such hospitals, nursing homes, and doctor offices. I prefer to specialize in pediatrics, so I can work with premature babies in a neonatal wing in a
