I chose to pursue a degree in nurse so I can impact the lives of people and to provide a better life for myself. I had the opportunity to job shadow in my field of study multiple times. Touching lives of others would be an honor, whether I help a big accomplishment or if the help remains unnoticed. Being a nurse is my passion and it will be a privilege serving out my values to help others. My first experience that led me to pursue a nursing degree was a moment in labor and delivery. As a senior in high school I was accepted in a medical explorers group that allowed me to job shadow all areas an RN would work in. Although it was a close likeness between ER and Labor and Delivery, I feel L & D is the best fit for me. It will be a privilege
