Philosophy of Education
My goal for my future classroom is to challenge the minds and knowledge of my students in order to see them at their full potential. I would like to see my students working together in order for the individual students benefiting from learning the knowledge of their peers. In order for my students to get the full benefits of the knowledge that they have acquired through interaction with their peers, group work has to be a key component. By encouraging group work, I am able to ensure that the not only the class is successful, but the betterment of each individual is successful as well. Interactions with peers can change the perspective of learning and can transform the learning environment as a whole.

In my classroom, I want my students to have the ability to express their creativity freely and experiment with their individual likes and dislikes in order to realize their overall strengths and weaknesses. Once established, the curriculum can then be molded …show more content…

As a teacher, it is your job to mold the minds of students in order to introduce them to new knowledge and experiences. Although challenges and frustrations can arise, teaching is something that is exciting and enjoyable. I firmly believe that with motivation and encouragement, students have the capability to learn new things and also find enjoyment in what they learn. As a teacher, one must be aware of theories regarding motivation, behavior, learning and development in order to relate to each student and push them to be the best that they can be.

Another goal that I have set for myself is creating a safe learning environment in the classroom for all students. Without students feeling socially, physically and emotionally safe, students won’t be able to learn successfully and will more likely shut out learning all together.
