The purpose of education is to give all children a desire to learn and to teach them how to use their minds. Teachers should provide building blocks for students to figure out what they want to do with their lives and to spark their curiosity to learn more and to improve on their current skills. Teachers should strengthen the students’ mind so that they can more easily learn to adapt to future life challenges. The most important feature of education is to produce students who can become a productive member of society. They must provide resources for learning including books, visual aids, digital technology, and the ability for the students to obtain any additional needed resources. Teachers must show care and concern for their students by interacting with students to provide a fun and creative method of learning while following the teaching curriculum and guidelines. They must fully understand the curriculum being taught. They must develop ways to ensure that their students are building stronger minds and maintaining motivation for learning. Teachers must have means for effective communication between students, parents, administration, and the community. They should establish academic challenges and high expectation for students. Teachers must adapt to changes in a positive manner and have knowledge and understand how to implement policy changes. Teachers should have continuing education to remain current with any changes in curriculum and new breakthroughs or practices. The input of teachers in schools is crucial to implementing and maintaining policy changes. Teachers should have a voice in policy changes and should be consulted to help make the transition easier and show respect to teachers where they feel their input matters. Teachers should relate to other teachers who are in similar situations and are also involved in reform. This will allow the changes to be discussed in a normal teaching method which will make the transition easier to comprehend amongst the culture of the school. The culture of the school develops through interaction of the staff members. Through this interaction, as the staff accepts the changes then the culture of the school will respond in a positive manner. Educational reform affects teachers both socially and emotionally. School personnel should manage and understand the emotional aspect for teachers and not ignore their feelings. When feelings about change are acknowledged and managed properly, the change is more likely to proceed with success.
