Planning is figuring out what to do and how to get there. Organizing is determining a structure for the jobs and everyone included. Leading is directing and motivating people in the right direction, controlling is checking performances and making sure things are being done correctly and making adjustments. What is the purpose of a mission statement? Why are the most effective mission statements simple, vivid, and compelling? The purpose of a mission statement is to purpose values, core goals, providing framework for all other plans. They get everyone in the company involved from the CEO to the janitor. They all are on the same page and work as one. They have long term goals that are clear, and focus on the organization.
