Hello Mr. Wenig, this is Jannine Jack, I wrote you a few weeks ago about my assignment to review your company’s diversity and inclusion programs. In regards to your company’s strengths and weaknesses in diversity I was able to isolate some areas in which I feel that you can grow and programs that could be of assistance. Things such as reaching out to the community that you operate in, offering ESL classes, hosting events for people of different cultures and making diversity a priority in recruiting through strategic pipelines are just a few. I feel that these programs would be beneficial in diversifying your company, improving the public image of your company and making you more profitable.

I feel that by integrating a pipeline of predominantly minorities and females your company will be able to have improved diversity in a much faster time frame. As I wrote in my first memo, your company has a lack of diverse leadership in executive positions with no African Americans and only four females on the board of twelve. The value of making an effort to make your company and executives more diverse is one that will make the company more profitable and more distinguished as your mission statement aims to do. Your company’s mission statement is one that gives me hope that your company will improve on its diversity issues and a lack of execution on that mission statement would be bad for your image. With some of the most successful companies in the world being some of the most diverse I would expect your company to be and leader in the effort. Women are a lacking part of your company by being less than half of your workforce. I hope that my initial memo and this follow up will help improve the number of women on your staff in the future. Women are vital to the workplace because they possess many skills that value a business and work well with men to provide teamwork needed in business. “Collaborative work style is another (generally) female trait that is often undervalued, but of key importance in the workplace.
