An individual who is exhibiting resilience is expected to have the ability to jump back into shape. Elasticity comes to mind and the individual must have the ability to recuperate from whatever has caused them to be in distress. However, they are people who find it hard to handle harsh conditions in their lives and are not able to bounce back quickly. For example, a child who lives with his grandparents because him mother is a drug attack and cannot provide for him. He has notice drug abuse, endures sexual abuse, failing in school and is extremely aggressive.
