Mr. Bennett should not be found guilty of the crime of Mr. Adams murder because there is reasonable doubt it exists. Although the prosecution said that he was guilty, they are incorrect because he had bad eyesight, he was not the one with that rat poison and his family member had a strong hatred towards him. The evidence shows that he may have been killed by his family member Mrs. Reid or a new friend of his, the rat exterminator Mr. Alfaro. To start, Mr Adams had bad eyesight and he could have mistaken the boxes and grabbed the poison by accident. The rat poison was found in the sugar in the kitchen and they had very similar packaging. This can go on to show that he may have grabbed the wrong bottle because of his poor eyesight. One of the strongest pieces of evidence was that Mr Alfaro was the rat extremist and he could have put the poison on the spot to try and trick Mr Adams to think that it was the sugar because he had bad eyesight. Even though Mr. Alfaro was new to the friend group, he may be one of the highest suspects because he is the rat exterminator and the only one with the poison in hand and with access to it. During the interview they were questioning Mr Alfaro. They asked who had access to the rat poison and he said that he did and he was the only one that had access to it. Mr. Alfaro poured Mr. Adams drink five minutes before he went to the kitchen to get some sugar. He may have been trying to help because he knew that the poison was in the kitchen and he was trying to make sure he wasn’t really worried and calmed the whole night so he didn’t know that anything was coming. From the evidence this goes to show that Mr Alfaro is one of are top suspects and he needs to be further looked at. Finally, there is another suspect that should be looked at
