Before, I learned the real meaning I leadership I used to think it was people we read about in history, books, or even in movies. But thats not that case, there is a leader in all of us it just takes some people a whole lot longer then others to find it. If you ask me right now and said, "Carrie are you a leader? " Honestly I would say no because I see so many other people who has such more better qualities then me and talents then me I look down on my self and thats not something I'm proud of. I see all these things that I have struggled with in life and think that people don't won't to deal with someone who has a past, like parents divorce, both of them being sick, starting all over when my mom died, and see my brother struggle with someone that you know he is not meant for. I plan to not only be a leadership now, but to continue that journey in my future. When I graduate high school I plan to pursue a career in Pediatric Occupational Therapy. Which is me helping with the disabled and reteaching them the simple things we do in life. An I plan to be the different, I plan to be a leader for these kids and help them get back on track, and I plan to help these kids become a leader on their own. This world is ours, and I want to make it something that I am proud. I want a world where people laugh you uncontrollably, allow you to have a shoulder to cry, to have someone stand up for you, to have someone you can talk, to be able to take control of situation, I want us to be leaders. In Pam Parris class there is a quote on the wall that says, " Respect the difference, accept the difference, and be the difference" this does not neccissarily have to deal with kids with special needs, to me I feel like it represents me and my future and hopefully others as well.
