The National Honor Society is a nationwide organization that is used to recognize high school students for their outstanding achievements, as well as guide them along the path to a successful future. As a new student to Quantico Middle/High School this year, I believe that I could be a great addition to the school’s National Honor Societies club. Being apart of this club would not only help built my college application in the future, but also teach me good social skills, teamwork capabilities, and leadership development.
Both leadership and character contribute to a person’s qualification to join the National Honor Society. These qualities set the foundation for a good person in society and leads them down a successful road. I believe that I could make a good addition to the Quantico High School’s National Honor Society club with my wide range of leadership positions, services, and dedication to my academic achievements.
During both my freshman and sophomore years I have taken part in my school’s basketball and softball teams. I learned how to work in a team environment and also gained leadership positions by becoming the co-captain for Kubasaki’s JV Basketball and softball team as well as co-captain for Quantico’s Varsity Basketball team. A positive characteristic that I believe I also possess is my willingness to offer my help whether it be with a class or to go out to every single football game and school event to take pictures and write an article for the school’s newspaper or yearbook. I participate in community service as often as possible and that includes the setup of haunted houses for Marine Corps units in Okinawa, aiding people during the Special Olympics, and conducting experiments for a class at the Okinawa Electric Company Science
