As I take a moment to personally reflect over my life and career, I believe there are several qualities that distinguish me from everyone else. Being a continuous learner who is belief driven and relational is the unique combination of qualities I possess. I believe it is a combination of each of these that has blessed me to be influential and contributory in relationships and career opportunities.
I absolutely love to learn and learning is something I do daily. Although, the subject matters may vary, it is the learning process I find most invigorating. The thoughtful and careful journey from ignorance to competence, intrigues me and playing a trivial part in assisting in the process truly energizes me. It causes me to be family-oriented, spiritual, and a person who values responsibility and high ethics in myself and others. It is my beliefs that give my life meaning and satisfaction. These core beliefs cause me to be very intentional about what I do and in turn makes each decision and action personal and significant. As a result, I often invade instructional conquests with inspirational nuggets. Daily curriculum in infested with positive declarations to inspire my students to function at their fullest potential and to be respectable citizens.
Relationships are also very important to me. I have heard it said, “People don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care.” I believe this to be true and having this mindset has truly revolutionized my relationships. As a relational person, I deliberately promote deeper relationships; I crave to understand how people feel, think, to know their goals, fears, and dreams.
