To be able to receive the opportunity for volunteering at UCLA/Ronald Reagan would be an honor because I want to be exposed to the hospital’s environment, while gaining hospital and clinical experience. As for my interest in the medical field, I would love to help out in any way so I can start gaining experience in the medical field and execute my passion to help others. While looking for different opportunities that offered medical volunteer, I concluded that this opportunity is the best. Not only am I interested in the medical field but I know that UCLA has the top-ranked Ronald Reagan hospital as they contribute in improving the health of the patients, which is what I want to be a part of. As a native Spanish speaker and volunteering at Lemon Grove Recreation Center, I have noticed that there are people that prefer Spanish over other languages and are prone to be more open to talking in that language. Along with my skill for speaking Spanish fluently, I am friendly and outgoing, which are essential qualities to have for interacting with others. That is proved at my previous volunteering and it will be the same for this volunteering opportunity. Because I am friendly and outgoing, I am cooperative and confident when it comes to teamwork and working alone. In teams, I can play the leadership role and help others if they’re confused with a task. Adding on, I can contribute to my group and follow the one in charge. As I am also diligent and determined, I have been able to gain leadership positions. They range from keeping others in check, checking in with the staff, and helping out the staff. To add on, I am very committed to my responsibilities which involves coming in on time, working to the best of my ability, completing all tasks assigned, and following all rules and directions. I hope to be able to show all of these qualities if accepted into UCLA’s volunteering program. I am very thankful for this opportunity both because I had the chance to apply and to possibly get
