Like most other students, hoping to complete their degree within the College of Education, the reason I have chosen to become an educator is to equip younger generations with a plethora of information, to help them succeed. However, unlike some education students, I have been closely involved, and have had firsthand experience in the field already, as only a sophomore. For example, I began in the education field when I was only a freshman in high-school, by teaching first through fifth-grade students in Sunday School, and I continued to this for four consecutive years, as a volunteer, after. In addition, I spend an entire summer, two years ago, dedicating my talents to St. Paul’s Muskego’s Summer-Care program, in which we taught, played-with, instilled constructive discipline, and catered to each child’s individual needs, even though there were close to twenty-five children every day and only a few of us, teachers. I am extremely proud be labeled an adaptable student. This is because, over the course of my high school years, and also now, in my second year of college, I have found myself consistently faced with new challenges, new curriculums, and new people, both in and out of the field of education, and I have been able to overcome differences and strive toward my ultimate goals. For example, this year, as a sophomore, it has been challenging at times to adapt to a new school, UW- Oshkosh, and also, facing the fact that I had not met anyone going to the same university, as I was. However, just like adapting to various new experiences within the education field, I found a way to connect with most of my professors, meet new well-rounded students, and make the best out of my education, using campus resources and my driving
