Don’t take our word for it - see why 10 million students trust us with their essay needs.
During the Holocaust, 6 million Jews were killed in the span of 4 years and people are disgusted by that number. What they don’t know is that every day, 23,000,000 land animals are slaughtered for the industrial food chain. This is a huge problem in our society that is not dealt with nearly enough. The industrial food chain is a bad system for helpless animals to be put into. Animal slaughter is full of negative impacts.
Over the years, the diminishment in the overall health of our planet has not gone unnoticed. The concern for natural resources, pollution, and global warming are all widely talked about topics with no real solution to them in sight. We all want to eliminate our carbon footprint in whatever ways we can, but nonetheless the problem with that is most of us aren’t even aware of what is causing so much damage to the environment. Whether you want to believe in it or not, animal agriculture plays a huge role in these controversial topics. Globally, we all enjoy animal bi-products in our diet, but do we really know how much of our resources are being used to provide us with that luxury and the toll it is taking on our environment?
Do any of you remember Jones’ rule? If not, look around you. It is just the same. We think we are free, serving only ourselves, when in reality we have created another Jones. We are tired of hearing constant lies, to complex for our understanding.
Animal right has been an issue since the 1970s, where it had seemed to have began. From using horses as farm equipment to having dogs herd sheep. It is a movement which is trying to find an end to the fixed principle and separation that is set between human and animals, an end to the quality of animals as property, and an end to their use in the clothing, entertainment, food, and research businesses. Animals rights are a much bigger problem today than it was centuries ago. Recently, animals have begun to be taken advantage of and used with disrespect.
Having a bill of rights for animals could be the cause of death for millions of people. Animals, However should not be abused or mistreated because as Braithwaite suggest in her article Hooked on a Myth “[fish] have the necessary sensory wiring to detect pain” along with the many other animals (62). So we shouldn’t completely dismiss the idea of animals having some sort of humane conditions. But we should really consider what the consequences could be with such a huge implementation of rights for animals. Because it is not as simple as giving animals rights and now the whole world is happy.
“The debate about animal rights goes on and on without anyone getting to any real conclusion” A source from occupytheory.org once said. Animals that are not being tested for products save the economy a lot of money and why waste a lot of money for tests that may not even be reliable. Having animal rights insure that our animals won’t be abused or mistreated. If proceeding with animal rights animals won’t be killed to make clothing. Animal rights should be in forced more have strict punishments for people who don’t follow them because having animal rights means no animals will be abused and our economy would be able to save more money because of less animal testings that would be happening, lastly animals wouldn’t be killed for clothing.
So where does the rights of animals come from? Many people do not understand animal rights and how we should treat them equally and why. Through animal research and experiments, humans are getting benefit and gains in the obscene inhumane ways. Animal rights have become a big issue over the years. Not long ago, animal rights activists were dismissed, and covered in the press only for their activities.
More than often on the news we see the subject of human rights being brought up. With this always being brought to the attention we tend to dehumanize everything else including animals. The animals we have gone as far to domesticate are seen as less than people, Even though it is not as commonly brought up animal abuse happens more than we think. With that said i strongly believe that the penalties against animal abuse should be equal to those against humans. It seems apparent that the value of a human life is far more than an animal's.
It’s all about the Money $$$ I believe that farm animals should have more rights because even though they aren’t humans, they are still living things who can feel things. There is not a single federal law that protects farm animals. So people take advantage of them and treat them really horribly.
Walking past Times Square in New York City, you can see all the ordinary advertisements. Discounts for 20% off your next order, the newest play parodying American history, and previews for the season’s best new comedy riddle the skyline in blinding neon. But one poster catches your eye, seeming out of place and maybe just a bit absurd. Your brow crinkles as you read, “Which chick should die for your omelet? The spirited one?
In today’s world of neuroscience research, the use of animals has become a controversial topic. In the past, research on animals has been used to gain a deeper understanding of the human body especially the brain. This type of research has allowed breakthrough in medicine, medical devices, surgeries and other methods to improve the health. However, animal rights activists have voiced their opinions in recent years against the use of animals as they deem it cruel. I believe that animal research is vital to the advancement of medicine and knowledge of not only humans but of many other animals as well.
Although some humans may take animal rights seriously, there is still great controversy between whether or not animals should even be given them. This topic is controversial because some humans recognize that animals are conscious and have morals, while others just see animals as entertainment and food. People do not have to be crazy animal lovers to recognize that certain things that are done to animals are simply wrong. Animals should be given rights because it has been proven that that they have a conscious, they cannot defend themselves as humans can, and people, whether we admit it or not, are animals too.
A Call To Action: Animals Should Have Rights To Since people treat animals with disrespect and test on them should we take mentally challenged people and treat them with disrespect and test on them since technically they don't know right from wrong, just like animals don't know right from wrong. There are three simple reasons why animals should be treated fairly or in other words should have rights : One would be we are humans and we are animals, second they are not an it we can not control them, and last what would happen if we killed off all the animals what would we do because we use animals for a lot of reasons. We Are Humans We Are Animals “Why do we lock up chimpanzees in appalling primate research centres and use them in experiments that range from the uncomfortable to the agonising and lethal, yet would never think of doing the same to a retarded human being at a much lower mental level? The only possible answer is that the chimpanzee, no matter how bright, is not human, while the retarded human, no matter how dull, is.
How would you react if you woke up with chemicals, blood and wires all over you? I know I would feel uncomfortable and treated unfairly; just imagine having to go through many tests that are not even for your own benefit. I believe that we should put an end to animal testing. Animals don't deserve to be living a difficult life because animals and humans can be similar but also different, animals should be able to have rights just like humans, and we can even replace animals with other existing alternatives. Animals and humans may be very similar, but they also very different.
“The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated,”-Mahatma Gandhi. Animals have no rights, because most people do not believe in animal rights. Animals barely have any rights; most are tested on, and abused or even killed. Ever since Ancient Egypt people believed that animals were gods.(Scruton) There are religions that animals should not have rights, but most do believe animals should have rights.(Texas)
