Animal Testing Animal testing is done worldwide for companies who want the people to buy their products. It is done for the safety of everyone. Cosmetic products or just any type of medicine is tested on animals. The most common things tested on animals is medicine in order to find a cure to most diseases. The different types of methods scientists use to test the products on animals is something you have to pay attention to very carefully. Many people when buying different products do not have the knowledge of the steps it had to go through to see the actual product in the store. The different ways animal testing is done is by causing physical and mental pain. According to the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, “Problems Associated with Animal Experimentation” there are two sources of suffering living in laboratories, experimental procedures and confinement in the laboratory environment. A lot Lots of animals suffer from the effects of separation from their families. They are involved in painful procedures and are exposed to dangerous drugs and chemicals. Those cause the the health effects animals may never recover from due to the mindset they already have. Laboratory environments are unnatural and lack the social bond animal need for their survival.
The reliability of a test depends on the species of animals laboratories use to test on. Lots of species give off different biological systems than humans, and the uncertainty of extrapolating risk from small to large animals. Human diseases do not fit well with different species because of the body systems differ from one another.
