Being a leader has definitely put me between a rock and hard place multiple times. I have had multiple leadership positions such as Captain of the Academic Team, member of Student Council, Officer of Spanish Club, and a Class Officer every year for the three previous years. Being Captain of the Academic Team is a rigorous and challenging position. After the loss of a game generally the
I don’t have much management/leadership experiences but the little I do have is being a manager at the tanning salon I recently worked for and also being cheer co-captain when I was in high school. Being a manager for the tanning salon I had to make schedules weekly and making sure everyone knew what time they were working and also working around their personal schedules, training new workers, and making sure the tanning salon was stocked up on all the things needed. Being Cheer co-captain I helped with making practice schedules monthly and dress code policies, training new cheerleaders cheers, and making
As a spokesperson, I want to empower teachers to be leaders in and out of the classroom. The key to raising achievement for all students is to empower teachers to lead and transform the teaching profession. Every child has the right to an education and the potential to learn. As educators, we have a great responsibility to serve as advocates for the students we serve. All children, regardless of their background, must be taught to believe they can succeed.
My passion for education and athletics is what started my career as a teacher. Now, each passing day is a reflection my desire to impact students and student-athletes in a positive way. As a coach, I am the leader of a team. It means leading your team to pursue greatness and success, even through challenges and change. I have tackled issues such taking a losing football team build enough confidence to finish third in the district.
Leadership is the ability to influence and inspire followers to achieve the goals of the organization (Benton, 2018a). Gindele spoke a lot about how he likes to stay involved with the agency and work directly with
With every passing school year, I find myself taking on new challenges and striving to become better. As I load my schedule with AP and Dual Enrollment courses, the long sleepless nights of studying and completing stacks of rigorous coursework serve as a constant reminder that working hard isn't optional. I truly value education and thoroughly believe that the work I'm doing now will pay off in the future. This conviction fuels my motivation to succeed and always put forth my best effort. Tackling a hectic extracurricular schedule while managing the workload of advanced courses has quickly shown me the importance of staying organized, keeping track of assignments, and managing my time wisely.
1. I want everyone to feel like they belong in our community, whether it be the University, or the larger Dayton area. Making people feel welcome can be done by accepting and celebrating all different people. John Steinbeck said this of understanding people“If you understand each other you will be kind to each other. Knowing a man well never leads to hate and almost always leads to love.”
Leadership I am a motivated teacher and I love my students at Doss High School, where I teach Business classes. It is through my love of teaching that I am passionate about ensuring all children have the best opportunity to meet their life’s ambitions. I began my first four years of teaching with positive energy and a love of my career. I enjoyed teaching Career Choices class for sixth, seventh and eighth grade students at Frost Middle School. Although Frost Middle school was a persistently low achieving school that presented many challenges, after two years I felt like I was making an impact on my students.
I would watch film and get a better understanding of their games. I knew what their weaknesses were and their strengths. I would put them in a position to succeed as a player. If something needed improvement, I knew what tone I had to speak to each person in and gave them feedback in all areas. I knew if I wanted to lead, I had to be able to relate and understand everyone's game and position.
The foundation of all of my leadership philosophy is centered on the four strategies of character, consistency, collaboration, and communication. With these four strategies, I also have the goal to gain trust, respect and integrity. In education, times change, as well as students and staff. From the book entitled, “The Saber-Tooth Curriculum,” the author quotes, “there were progressives and progressives in the past and that the best prediction indicates there will be progressives and progressives in the future. Progressives with new purposes and old machines, progressives with new machines and old purposes, progressives with old machines and purposes plus a few new verbalizations to make them less forlorn, and others (Peddiwell, 2004,
Leadership is defined as the action of leading a group of people or an organization. Being a leader may not be easy, but it is something that all people should strive to be. To be a leader, you must be responsible, confident, firm, kind, decisive, and care about the people who you associate with. Playing golf in high school, I learned discipline, responsibility, and determination. From being a captain of the golf team, I learned patience, trust, confidence, and empathy.
Leadership Personally, I understand that successful leaders acknowledge the fact that individuals, corporations, and even countries hold undiscovered talents and untapped potentials. This group of people pursues to unleash the full capabilities of their members to accomplish the highest results and reach greater heights (Northouse, 2017). Apparently, just because one is a leader, it doesn’t imply that every person wants to follow them. In fact, any person can take the role of leadership, but it doesn’t mean they earn respect, trust, and confidence of the followers. However, the positive thing is that almost every person can possess the critical skills to become a trustworthy and respected leader and those skills can continue to be developed and practiced every single day.
My life as an accountant is living with numbers I have liked the job when helping in the family job. I got so good on it that now I am studying accounting at SU University my knowledge expands into knew fields in accounting which caused me to redraw my plans and start thinking of establishing my own accounting agency. I started dreaming and planning big. Numbers motivate me and it make my bread. I was excited about the class of leadership management.
I learned that I have the capabilities to help people who are in need of help without looking for anything in return and that is one thing that I love about myself. Having leadership is a person who is honest, love helping others while putting them first in different situations. I
The word “Leadership” is often thought of a natural instinct that certain humans get at birth, however, that is not the case. There are people who learn quicker than others and land in leadership positions more frequently than others, but they must have had to learn the basics of leadership somewhere. Leadership can be look on a pyramid and you see that the leaders are on top and the followers are on the bottom, the people on the bottom learn how to become a leader and eventually they get to the top. It can be defined in many different ways but with the experience I have gained in my life so far, a definition of leadership that I believe in today is: “the ability to influence subordinates in order to accomplish a mission.” A leader who is well
