I want a career at NSA because, in all honesty, the Stokes Educational Scholarship that I will possibly receive will pay for most of my college costs. This is a big deal for me because I come from a single-parent household with a younger sibling that is in middle school. From this information, you can assume that I do not come from a very prosperous background. Although I present this information, I do not want this opportunity handed to me due to my situation, but due to my merit and eagerness to learn more about information security and how I can help protect America from cyber warfare, cyber attacks, and other cyber-related problems that we may now face, or face in the future. The work experience that I may receive from this opportunity is once in a lifetime and I will not let that slip through the cracks.

The work experience that I will gain from the summer internships and employment after my schooling will be priceless because most, if not all workplaces do not work like the NSA. The NSA will also give the most current and relevant cyber security problems and solutions because they are at the forefront of the US's cyber security. I want this career at the forefront of the US’s cyber security because I want to protect the US from outside sources and cyber attacks from malicious countries and people that mean harm to America. With this up and front experience, I will be able to learn so much about cyber security and hopefully fulfill my curiosity, but also keep me wanting to come back for more.
